The fact that the Hyundai Kona Electric SUV will be sold on the US car market has been known for a long time. We also knew the start of sales was scheduled for the spring of 2019. However, the answer to a key question, about pricing, is received only now.
Well, the Hyundai Kona Electric is priced from $36,450 in the U.S. This is not the cheapest offer among electric cars, but this crossover has never been claimed to sit in low-cost niche.
The fully electric Kona is offered in three trim levels: SEL (from $36,450), Limited (from $41,150) and Ultimate (from $44,650).
High-end versions provide options such as LED lighting and a leather trimmed interior. The range-topping model has in particular an 8-inch color touchscreen display with navigation and Intelligent Cruise Control.
Regardless of the configuration, the Kona Electric has a 201-hp electric motor. The range is 258 miles (415km).
The vehicle can already be ordered. It has no direct competitors in the United States so far.
