The compact Hyundai Kona SUV tops the rankings of Edmunds and U.S. News & World Report.
The most compact representative of Hyundai’s SUV lineup has been recognized the best choice in its segments at once by two reputable sources in the USA. Edmunds experts scored 7.9 out of 10 points, the U.S. News & World Report’s estimation is 8.5 points.
Edmunds notes the practicality and comfort of the crossover. U.S. News considers a 175-hp turbocharged engine, flexible handling, quality of the cabin and an intuitive infotainment system to be the advantages of the Kona.
The Kelley Blue Book experts also draw attention to the efficient engine, as well as the unique design and up-to-date technologies.
As for the motor, there is nothing to argue about. The 1.6-liter unit with a turbocharger develops up to 175 hp, its average fuel consumption is 32 mpg. Buyers are offered a cheaper version with an aspirated 2.0-liter engine producing 147 hp and consuming 33 mpg.
The 2019 Hyundai Kona’s price in the U.S. starts at $19,990, which is also considered a competitive advantage. The modification with a turbocharged motor will cost from $25,550.
