Volkswagen brings the Volkswagen Teramont to the Middle East market. This model, known as the Atlas in North America, has been on sale in China for 2 years. Unlike the Chinese Teramont, the version for the Middle East will be produced at Volkswagen’s plant in Tennessee.
The carmaker believes this large SUV will be ideal for families in the Middle East region and satisfies their needs. Seven people can seat in it with comfort. Depending on the space occupied by passengers, from 583 to 2,741 liters remain for the luggage.
Volkswagen has not fully detailed the Middle East Teramont yet, but claims all modifications from the start will be equipped with a 4Motion all-wheel drive.
Moreover, buyers will be offered a wide range of driver assist systems, such as remote control, emergency braking, collision avoidance, blind spot detection and parking assistant.
Currently, Volkswagen Atlas is available with a 2.0-liter turbo V4 with 235 hp and 350 Nm of torque, or with a 3.6-liter 6-cylinder 276-hp (361 Nm) engine. We still don’t know If the same motors will be under the hood of the Teramont for Middle East.
