Audi has unveiled a new top model of the Q2 family – the 2019 Audi SQ2. Striking design and fun driving are its highlights.
A 2.0-liter four-cylinder TFSI engine develops 300 hp. It is high-performance and efficient. The unit helps the car accelerate to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.8 seconds and gain a top speed of 250 km/h (155 mph).
The SQ2 got the quattro all-wheel drive as standard and S sport suspension which lowers the body by 20 mm and applies the power smoothly to the road. The power is transferred by a seven-speed dual-clutch S tronic transmission.
The standard LED head and rear lights with dynamic turn signals radiate an arrow-shaped light signature. There are striking details and accents on the flanks and at the rear. A long roof edge spoiler provides for sufficient downforce.
The exterior color palette is wide and includes the standard Ibis White and several optional colors. Audi offers two packages for the model as alternatives to the standard exterior.
With a drag coefficient of 0.34, the Audi SQ2 glides easily. The noise level on-board remains low thanks to the vibration-optimized body and high level of aero acoustics. A structure of hot-shaped steels forms entire body high rigidity.
The standard Audi driving modes are auto, comfort, dynamic, efficiency and individual. A button allows the driver to set Electronic Stabilization Control (ESC) to off-road mode. The range of offered wheels consists of ten designs and sizes. 18-inch alloy are standard.
The compact dimensions of the Audi SQ2 (4,210 mm long, the 2,594-mm wheelbase) give more space for the interior. The luggage compartment is from 355 to 1,000 liters.
Standard equipment includes sport seats, a front center armrest, automatic air conditioning, a sports multifunction steering wheel and the driver information system with a color 12.3-inch display.
The Audi Hold Assist system is available as an option.
The optional Audi virtual cockpit replaced the driver information system. There is the MMI navigation with MMI touch (plus optional Audi connect package) at the top. The Bang & Olufsen sound system features a 705 Watt amplifier driving 14 speakers.
The materials inside have sporty accents (including S logos). Matt brushed aluminum and stainless steel elements are present. The seats come standard in a combination of leather and fabric (Alcantara or fine Nappa are optional). There are specific floor mats and a key trim too, both with a SQ2 logo.
The driver assistance systems for the Audi SQ2 carried over from the full-size class.
