The carmaker launches the Honda Pioneer 1000 and Pioneer 700 rec/utility side-by-sides for the 2022 model year. They will be available starting next month. Prices have been set.
The 2022 Honda Pioneer 1000 flagship has received an improved platform and a pair of new versions with an array of factory-installed accessories: Trail and Forest. Three- and five-person configurations are available.
The model uses a 999cc liquid-cooled twin-cylinder Unicam four-stroke engine and a fully automatic Dual Clutch Transmission with six forward gears and Reverse. There are four drive modes – 2WD, 4WD, Turf, Differential lock, and three shift modes of the paddle shifter – standard, sport, and manual.
Improvements to the platform include power increase, a new meter, addition of storage and beverage holders, smoother DCT shifting, easier accessory integration, and better door nets
The Pioneer 1000 Trail in Matter Silver color is designed for outdoor excursions. It comes with FOX Quick Switch shocks, a winch for 4,500 pounds, aluminum cut-contrast wheels, an in-bed accessory outlet, a ROPS mounted rear-view mirror to keep track of other drivers.
The Pioneer 1000 Forest in Honda Phantom Camo color is designed for such interests as fishing or hunting. It offers black aluminum wheels, dual bed lights to use in low-light conditions, a self-leveling rear suspension that adjusts to various cargo loads.
Both Trail and Forest cost $20,099 (3-seater) and $21,499 (5-seater) before tax, charges, dealer options.
In addition, Honda continues offering the versatile Pioneer 1000 Deluxe in Red, Olive, Gray Resin, Reactor Blue, and the value-conscious Pioneer 1000 EPS in Red or Olive colors. The Deluxe’s prices are $18,099 (3-seater) and $19,499 (5-seater), while MSRPs for the EPS version are $16,699 and $18,099, respectively.
The company also returns the Pioneer 700 (pictured above) for the new model year, in two- and four-seat configurations, standard and midsize variants, priced from $11,099 to $14,299. A 675 cc liquid-cooled longitudinally mounted single-cylinder four-stroke engine with a hydraulic torque converter is used here.
