Honda introduced a restyling version of the HR-V compact crossover.
This is a European modification of the car, the brand’s most sophisticated subcompact SUV to date, which will go on sale in October this year.
The production has already started. The prices for the new product will be announced later.
The Honda HR-V got other bumpers, a new radiator grille, 17-inch wheels and slightly modified optics. A chrome edging of the lamps appeared at the rear.
HR-V got 8 colors of body painting, including a new one – Midnight Blue Beam Metallic. In the interior there are new seats and a modernized audio system. Honda’s engineers significantly improved the noise insulation.
The model’s powertrain features the same 1.5-liter 130-hp petrol turbo engine mated with a manual or automatics. The HR-V is able to accelerate to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 10.7 seconds.
In spring next year the crossover will receive a VTEC TURBO petrol motor of 1.5 liters. The power of this unit is still unknown. The same engine is mounted on the CR-V model, where its output is 175 hp. A 1.6-liter diesel one will also be available.
Last month Honda improved the HR-V SUV for the North American market. The model got an upgraded variator, an advanced all-wheel drive system, electric power steering and additional noise insulation.
It is first available with the Honda Sensing safety kit, which includes an adaptive cruise control, an active collision avoidance system and a lane-keeping assist.
