The manufacturer has begun series production of the 2022 GMC Hummer EV at the Factory ZERO Detroit-Hamtramck Assembly Center.
The other day, the first 2022 GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 pickup trucks started rolling off the production line, so, customer deliveries will soon commence.

An interesting fact is that VIN 001 of the Edition 1 GMC Hummer EV was auctioned on March 27, 2021, at Barrett-Jackson at a hammer price of $2.5 million. Proceeds benefit the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
As for the starting retail price, it is $110,295 before tax, title, license, dealer charges, and options.
The Edition 1 model has the exterior in Interstellar White and the exclusive Lunar Horizon interior. It rides on the new Ultium Platform of General Motors enabling impressive 1,000 horsepower and 11,500 pound-feet of torque.
The signature features include four-wheel steering with CrabWalk, an adaptive air suspension with Extract Mode, a Super Cruise system, a driver-selectable Watts to Freedom function.
The carmaker reports that reservations for the GMC Hummer EV Edition 1 are already sold out, but now customers can pre-order available models at the company’s customer website.
