The premium brand is gearing up for electrification.
As you know, Hyundai has been developing its first all-electric crossover under the Genesis luxury brand. Test prototypes have already undergone test cycles.
Apparently, the electric product will receive the GV60 name, as reported by Canadian Driving, citing Asia Time. The automaker previously patented trademarks for electric versions of the larger GV70 and GV80 models.
It is already known about the GV60 that the vehicle’s driving range will be about 300 miles or 482 kilometers, in accordance with modern standards.
The new electric crossover is built on a new E-GMP platform that the Hyundai Motor Group developed specifically for electric vehicles. By the way, the latest Hyundai Ioniq 5 SUV rides on the same architecture.
As for the Genesis GV60, its production version is expected to appear in August 2021.It is too early to talk about the price. The Ioniq 5 SUV will cost about $55,000.
