General Motors postpones sales of a number of models for a later time due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Chevrolet Equinox, Bolt EV, Silverado, as well as the GMC Terrain, Cadillac XT4, GMC Sierra are set to receive mid-cycle updates and arrive in 2020 as 2021 models.
By reason of the coronavirus, the automaker has to suspend development and to launch them next year as 2022 models.
The redesigned Chevy Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon and the Cadillac Escalade may be also affected by production shutdowns. Initially GM planned to start their manufacture at the factory in Texas in late April 2020. The situation is uncertain now.
As for not-for-the-near-future projects, the company won’t discontinue them. They shall be developed on schedule.
