General Motors Prepares an Invasion of EVs and Phase-Out of Some Models

An array of all-electric vehicles will come in the next few years from General Motors. To make room for them, the company plans to replace and discontinue certain models.

30 new electric cars will be launched by 2025. There will be changes in Chevrolet’s model range. In particular, in 2023 an electric crossover with a high-capacity Ultium battery will arrive instead of the Chevrolet Bolt.

The turn of the Chevy Bolt EUV comes then. The automaker introduced this model not so long ago – in February 2021. Now we’ve known that a new Ultium-powered crossover will replace it in 2024. In the same year, the Camaro will receive a replacement – a hot electric sedan.

Moreover, several new EV models of Cadillac with the suffix “iq”, namely the Lyriq, Optiq, and Symboliq, take the place of the Cadillac XT4, XT5, XT6.

Such vehicles as Chevrolet’s Trax, Spark, Malibu, as well as the Buick Encore, have found themselves in the list of phase-out models. In the coming years, new electric cars will displace them.
