A new high-end Active X Vignale version joins the Ford Focus lineup. Next year, a new Focus EcoBoost Hybrid powertrain will come.
The Ford Focus is the most diverse model of the brand. Its lineup includes a 5-door hatchback, a wagon, a sedan, a crossover, a coupe-cabriolet, the Active, Vignale, ST-Line (most popular among Focus customers), RS variants.
This-year sales of the Focus on 20 key European markets are at the strongest since 2015 and equivalent to one sale every 135 seconds.
The best-seller has boosted Ford’s share in the compact segment up 1.8 percent year over year. The latest-generation model arrived in 2018. Over 250,000 units have since been sold.
Now Ford expands the range adding the new Focus Active X Vignale crossover.
The standard Ford Focus Active X Vignale features exclusive 17-inch alloy wheels, contrast black roof and door mirrors, LED headlamps, Vignale leather seats and steering wheel, Active Park Assist and a head-up display, the first in the segment.
According to Ford research, almost 40 percent Focus customers choose it because of its styling, its equipment attracts 20 percent.
Moreover, buyers of the Focus will be able to choose vehicles with a new efficient EcoBoost Hybrid 48-volt mild-hybrid powertrain since 2020.
Currently the Ford Focus on-the-road prices start from £18,545 (the UK), €21,000 (Germany), $17,950 (the USA, not on offer officially).
The Active Vignale is €29,300 in Germany; the Active X is £24,645 and the Vignale is £26,145 in the UK.
