The 2021 Ford Mustang Mach 1 is a global model to be sold in several countries. Ford Mexico has announced a start of Mexican sales.
The Mexican Republic is an important market for Ford. The Mustang Mach 1 is one of the most anticipated models there, so the company hopes sales will be successful.
In Mexico, the car is available in 7 colors: Iconic Yellow, Electric Blue, Sunset Black, Tornado Orange, Racing Red, Silver, Oxford White. It is now reaching the Ford dealers in the country. The starting manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) is from 1,180,000 pesos (equivalent to around 58,000 USD).
For comparison: the model starts at £40,350 in the UK (recommended on-the-road price), €46,900 in Germany, $42,895 in the United States (excl. destination).
Ford began to deliver the Mustang Mach 1s to U.S. customers a few weeks ago. Interestingly, the automaker made several styling upgrades at the last minute before deliveries. They are a silver border for the matte black badges, a low-gloss black lower grille instead of Magnetic Gray, and revised fender stripes.
Under the vehicle’s hood, there is a modified variant of the brand’s 5.0-liter Coyote V8, which develops 480 hp and 420 lb-ft a, and pairs a 6-speed Tremec TR-3160 manual gearbox. A 10-speed automatic transmission is optional for some markets, but not for Mexico, at least so far.
The base Mach 1 rides on new 19-inch 5-spoke aluminum wheels in Tarnished Dark and boasts several aerodynamic elements to increase downforce.
