The new-generation Ford Ranger is now in development. Its production should begin in May 2023 after the current model assemblage ends in April of the same year.
It is not a secret the all-new Ford Ranger is underway, as its prototypes have caught the eye of spies several times. Ford has been preparing its facilities in both Americas to build the next Ranger.
According to the latest news that came from Ford Authority, the Blue Oval’s assembly plant in Michigan should start production of the next-generation pickup in May 2023. This is the information for today and, as is sometimes the case, can change.
The 2023 Ford Ranger will bring many innovations: new, more modern styling on par with other new products of Ford, a 15.5-inch touchscreen, a new, much more low-profile antenna design.
Moreover, the 2023 Ranger will have an extended lineup including a plug-in hybrid, an all-electric variant, a high-performance Raptor with Ford’s 3.0L EcoBoost V6 and 10AT. As for the underpinnings, the Ranger will sit on Ford’s updated T6 platform.
Not long ago we reported that Blue Oval returned the sporty Splash version in the Splash Package and limited-run Splash Limited Edition forms for the 2022 model year.
