Ford Presented the Mustang 55 Special Edition

Ford has introduced a new special edition – the Mustang55 for the European market.

It is developed on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of a cult sport car. This version with a 5.0-liter 450-hp V8 engine has an exclusive exterior and a high-end interior. The fuel consumption is 11.0 l/100 km (21.4 mpg).

It is available in two bodystyles  – fastback and convertible. The car features glossy black 19-inch alloy wheels, unique body colors, in particular, Shadow Black combined with silver, Pillar Black for a grille, a spoiler, lining.

Inside there is a carbon-fiber panel, a leather-covered central console. The Mustang55 models have either a six-speed manual gearbox with a unique cast lever or a ten-speed automatic one with a light-weight lever. Upholstery of doors and seats is made of Alcantara.

The standard technologies for comfort include heating and cooling of the seats, the SYNC 3 information and entertainment system with DAB + radio, B & O Sound System with 12 speakers, FordPass Connect on-board modem, Remote Start, Remote Door Lock / Unlock, Vehicle Locator.

The Ford Mustang with a 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine and fuel consumption of 9.1 l/100 (25.9 mpg) received Shelby-styled body elements, as well as a standard Active Valve Performance Exhaust sustem. Among the new colors there are Twister Orange and Grabber Lime.

Production of the Ford Mustang Bullitt continues for the second year in a row due to high demand for a special version with a 5.0-liter 460-hp V8 engine (529 Nm / 390 lb-ft, 11.8 l/100 km / 19.9 mpg). Ford created it to honor the anniversary of the Warner Bros.’s legendary movie.

According to IHS Markit, 113,066 Mustangs were sold last year, making it the world’s best-seller in the sports coupe segment for the 4th consecutive year. In the first half of 2019, Ford sold 5,500 Mustangs on the European market.
