The 2021 Goodwood Festival of Speed is taking place these days – on July 8-11, 2021. Ford is participating with its new electric cars.

This year, the Blue Oval’s presence at the festal includes a Mach-E 1400, and a 2021 Ford Mustang Mach-E GT.

A full-size replica of the Team Fordzilla P1 racer in an all-new livery is also involved. Ford developed the car in conjunction with gamers. Its livery celebrates the brand’s historic 1-2-3 finish at the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans.

Today Ford shares a so-called “exciting electrified motorsport news” at the Goodwood event. This coming weekend, the Mach-E GT vehicle will take on Goodwood’s famous hill climb.

The Ford Mustang Mach-E GT with its 480 horsepower, 600 pound-feet, and electric all-wheel drive is a car for adrenaline lovers. According to Ford’s official info, it starts at $59,900 net (as low as $52,40 with incentives), has an EPA rating of 270 miles, and needs just 3.8 seconds to sprint from 0 to 60 mph.

The GT Performance Edition is even more thrilling: it is faster (3.5 sec), and delivers more torque (634 lf.-ft.)
