Ford Mustang Gets a GT3 Version to Be Available to Customers in 2024

The Blue Oval’s performance division in the collaboration with Multimatic Motorsports is working on the Ford Mustang GT3.

First of all, this is a sports car for global racing, but customers will be also able to have it, starting with 24 Hours of Daytona in 2024, Ford reports.

Under the hood, the Ford Mustang GT3 has a 5.0-liter Coyote-based V8. Ford Performance developed the engine, while M-Sport of Cumbria, an English long-time racing collaborator and world champion, built it.

The new Mustang GT3 race car features a  unique aero package,  a rear-mounted transaxle gearbox,  bespoke Short-Long Arm front and rear suspensions, and carbon fiber body panels.

Besides, a new Ford Mustang GT4 is on the way. It should debut in the 2023 season. On the whole, a series of Ford Performance new racing Mustangs is coming in the near future.
