Ford Motor Company has reported its November 2018 sales results in the brand’s homeland – the US car market. The Ford F-Series is beating the record.
Overall sales of the brand totaled 196,303 vehicles last month, with a 6.9% decline compared to the same period last year.
Ford sold 89,535 pickup trucks, 70,564 SUVs and 36,204 passenger cars. All mentioned segment lost 2.3%, 4.9% and 19.5% respectively.
Ford’s overall average transaction pricing hit a record of $37,000, which means a growth by $1,600 over November 2017.
The Ford F-Series (pictured) is an undisputable leader among Fords in the USA. The sales of this highly demanded model have grown for 9 consecutive months and reached the record figure of 72,102 units in November 2018.
The Ford Expedition sales added 7.9% to the last-year result and amounted 4,264 vehicles.
The Lincoln Navigator sales rose by 27.3 %, mostly thanks to the Reserve and Black Label Navigator models much demanded in luxury markets – California and Florida (88% of all retail sales).
Lincoln started selling its new Nautilus SUV last month. It represents almost half of retail sales. The MKX and Nautilus total sales increased by 20.4%.
The Ford Transit, which is the world’s best-selling cargo van, can boast 126,446 sales (+10%).
The demand for the all-new Transit Connect continues growing. Its retail sales in November were up 17.2%.
