The 2021 Ford F-150 Tremor shares its features with the Raptor and Super Duty versions.
The automaker discontinued the Tremor in 2014, after just one model year, and now has decided to return it for 2021 to challenge to the Toyota Tundra TRD Pro, Ram Rebel, Chevrolet Silverado Trail Boss and the GMC Sierra AT4.
The F-150 with this sports package will be a more capable off-roader than the FX4 currently available.
The rugged Raptor modification is underway as well, based on the latest F-150. We’ll see it in the coming years.
The Ford F-150 Tremor will arrive in SuperCrew configuration with a 5.5-foot box, suspension improvements and a higher ride height. Its towing capacity achieves 10,900 lbs. The maximum payload rates 1,885 lbs.
The powertrain comprises a 3.5-liter six-cylinder EcoBoost engine, standard four-wheel drive and a 10-speed automatic transmission. Ford will offer its newest off-road tech for the model.
The exterior features a blacked-out Ford oval logo, Tremor-specific “Active Orange” accents and badging on the fenders, tailgate, bed side.
Ford has not announced the F-150 Tremor’s pricing yet. We estimate the package will cost around $4,000.
The 2021 Ford F-150 is priced between $28,940 and $74,250. It is available in Reg Cab, SuperCab and SuperCrew configurations; with two or four wheel drive; in XL, XLT, Lariat, King Ranch, Platinum and Limited trims.
