The all-new Ford F-150 Lightning continues accumulating reservations. The model’s pre-order book has already collected 70,000 reservations within one week.
In the first 12 hours, the model secured 20,000 reservations. The entry-level commercial-oriented Pro version Ford unveiled a few days later, has contributed to increasing the number of reservation holders.
The Ford F-150 Lightning Pro is an attractive offering for both individual and fleet owners, as its driving range of 230 miles (EPA estimates) is sufficient for private and commercial purposes.
Future owners will have to wait until the model goes into production at the new Ford Rogue Electric Vehicle Center, ahead of the launch in spring 2022. Production will be limited for the Lightning’s first model year.
The Ford F-150 Lightning Pro costs $39,974 with a standard-range battery and plus $10,000 for the vehicle with an extended-range battery providing at least 300 miles on a single charge.
The XLT version starts at $52,974. The Lariat and Platinum prices will follow. Expect them to be around $90,000.
