Some kind of disturbing news has come about the Ford F-150, Escape, and the Bronco.
Production of these models continues suffering a broken supply chain due to the semiconductor chip shortage, and not only.
The Ford Louisville assembly plant will be idled, and the Ford Dearborn Truck Plant will be down to one shift the week of May 24th. Those are the facilities where Ford builds the Escape and the F-150.
Meantime, the Blue Oval is informing the Bronco order holders that the company has pushed back production of the model 2 to 3 weeks. Ford closes the Michigan Assembly Plant this and next weeks. By the way, for the very first time since the chip shortage commenced.
All this points to almost inevitable customer delivery delays. Сustomers may become impatient and cancel pre-orders, although Ford says 125,000 of 190,000 Bronco reservations have been converted into orders.
