Ford has started to assemble the Bronco Sport at its assembly plant in Mexico on October 26, 2020. The mass production is scheduled to begin next year.
Bronco 6G is informing about the timelines for the model:
- 12/7/2020 – Initial Order Acceptance
- 1/14/2021 – Scheduling Begins
- 3/22/2021 – Production Start Up
“Initial Orders Acceptance” means that dealers can start placing orders at Ford, but vehicles are not necessarily produced in the order in which orders arrive from dealers.
“Scheduling Begins” means that Ford begins laying the orders from dealers in order.
Customers have a choice of several trim levels: the Base ($26,660), Big Bend ($28,160), Outer Banks ($32,160), Badlands ($32,660), and First Edition ($38,500, already sold out).
There are two engine EcoBoost options for the 2021 Ford Bronco Sport: a 1.5-liter 181-hp (190 lb-ft) engine, and a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder one that makes 245 hp and 275 lb-ft, both come with an 8-speed AT.
Four different lifestyle accessory packages are available: Bike, Snow, Water, Camping. At start, Ford offers over 100 factory-backed and aftermarket accessories.
