Deliveries of the Fisker PEAR crossover will begin in 2024 with the base price of $29,900 before taxes and incentives.
The Fisker PEAR is the second product, after the Fisker Ocean, of a Californian automaker. The somewhat strange “Pear” is actually the abbreviation meaning “Personal Electric Automotive Revolution”.
An intriguing fact is that the new product will be manufactured in Ohio in partnership with Foxconn (producer of electronics). Now customers can reserve a Pear making a $250 deposit.
Today little is known about the model. Expect it will have similar styling and powertrain to the larger Fisker Ocean SUV (a rival to the Tesla Model Y), a 250-mile driving range, and a number of smart features.
The Ocean (upper photo), by the way, has been already preordered by 30,000 potential buyers – not bad for a startup. Its pricing starts at $37,499 MSRP before destination.
The Fisker PEAR may offer the same trims as the Ocean, namely entry-level Sport, mid-level Ultra, top-level Extreme, and a special edition One at launch. Since the Ocean goes into production this year, the smaller and cheaper PEAR will be accessible in 2024.
