Shortly before the official premiere, scheduled for May 23, Skoda has published a sketch of its first electric vehicle – the Citigo-e.
The sketch demonstrates the Skoda Citigo-e will be little different from a basic internal combustion engine model. The new electric car is expected to get more driving range than the Volkswagen e-up!
However, the details will become known pretty soon – on May 23 in Bratislava, Slovakia, when an official presentation of Skoda’s first EV takes place.
Alain Favey, head of Skoda‘s global sales and marketing, in an interview with Auto Express confirmed that the Citigo-e had got a new larger battery providing 300 km (186 miles) of range.
The Skoda Citigo-e will have the largest autonomy reserve for its class. However, pretty soon the Volkswagen e-up will get the same improved battery too!
