Jeep revealed its all-new 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee in plug-in hybrid flavor on July 8, during Stellantis EV Day 2021.
It is the first time we see a non-L Grand Cherokee with a shorter wheelbase and two rows of seats.
The official premiere of the new Jeep Grand Cherokee’s full lineup will take place at the 2021 New York International Auto Show on August 20-29.
During Stellantis EV Day 2021, Jeep also presented its vision of “Zero Emission, 100% Freedom”. By 2025, the brand will have a zero-emission 4xe model in every SUV segment.
In addition to the Grand Cherokee and the already-on-sale Wrangler, the new Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer will also get 4xe PHEV versions.
Moreover, Jeep informed it planned to install solar-powered charging stations to support off-roaders out on the trail.
