First Ford E-Transit Vehicles Are Being Shipped to Customers

The Blue Oval has started deliveries of the Ford E-Transit to U.S. customers.

The Ford E-Transit, an all-electric version of the popular commercial van, is now being shipped across the USA, according to the automaker. This model is purpose-built for Ford Pro commercial customers and the government.

10,000-plus orders have been already placed for the E-Transit by more than 300 customers, and the manufacturer plans to increase production. Among the order holders, there are municipalities of Orlando, Florida, Walmart, Sheeran Construction in Aston, Pennsylvania.

Ford builds the e-van at the Kansas City Assembly Plant – the company’s first to produce both batteries electric vehicles.

The Ford E-Transit comes with such features as the Pro Power Onboard system that turns the van into a mobile generator with up to 2.4 kW, and the Ford Pro E-Telematics – a subscription service, complimentary for 3 years that helps maximize run time preserving battery charge.

Moreover, the E-Transit is available in eight various configurations. Its configurability is supported by the Ford Pro ecosystem of end-to-end charging, telematics, service, and financing.

The Ford E-Transit will work via Ford Pro Charging – software and hardware infrastructure to support charging and energy management of commercial EV fleets.
