First-Ever Lincoln BEV Debuts on April 20

Lincoln BEV Teaser

The Lincoln BEV in a concept form, seemingly a crossover, is announced to make its debut on April 20, 2022. The carmaker claims this global concept serves as inspiration for Lincoln’s all-electric vehicles coming in the near future.

A short video teaser released by the brand yesterday is an announcement of the Lincoln BEV unveiling that will happen in a week. We can see just a silhouette of a large vehicle, an SUV/crossover, and only guess what it will be in practice.

Unlike Ford, Lincoln’s switching to electric vehicles is slower given the large size of its models. Nevertheless, the company is not so new to electrification: it currently offers the Aviator and Corsair Grand Touring plug-in hybrids.

Lincoln even was in partnership with Rivian to develop a Rivian-branded fully electric SUV, but that deal fell through later.

Apparently, Lincoln, like a number of other luxury brands, will gradually abandon internal combustion cars in favor of electric ones. Its first battery-electric vehicle is proof of this way. See it in full on April 20, 2022.
