GMC has released a teaser video of its new Hummer EV that will be available both as a truck and a sport utility vehicle.
The clip shows us the shape of the aggressive, off-road-looking SUT and SUV bodies. The truck will be in crew-cab and short-box configurations. The SUV is a boxy four-door.
The 2022 GMC Hummer EV produces up to 1000 hp and 11,500 lb-ft of torque. The 0-60 mph acceleration takes 3.0 seconds.
The models will get GM’s new Ultium battery packs coming in different sizes. GMC will offer one-, two-, and three-motor modifications.
Removable roof panels, the Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving system, Adrenaline and Crab driving modes are among the features of the Hummers.
Initially planned for May, due to the coronavirus pandemic the Hummer EV models will be finally unveiled in the fall of 2020. Production starts in the fall of 2021, deliveries begin late next year.
