The new Fiat 695 Abarth Esseesse Collectors Edition performance hatchback has a 180-hp engine.
Abarth promises that the 695 Esseesse special series cars will be the fastest and most dynamic in the history of the Fiat sports sub-brand.
The company releases only 1390 cars: 695 units with the Scorpion Black exterior, and 695 units in Campovolo Gray.
Improved aerodynamics will allow the Fiat 695 Abarth Esseesse Collectors Edition to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds. The 180-horsepower turbo engine combines with both manual and automatic transmissions. The top speed is 225 km/h.
Interestingly, the Abarth team of engineers and designers drew inspiration from the 1964 model. That car had a boosted 0.7-liter 38-hp engine. The speed reached 140 km/h.
The Fiat 500 hatchback the Abarth model is based on is still one of the most popular small cars in Europe. Earlier, the automaker announced it intended to leave on the continent only two cars – the Fiat 500 and the Fiat Panda. The rest Fiats sold in Europe will be the commercial segment vehicles.
