A new survey from Cox Automotive shows that buyers find an all-electric Ford F-150 more appealing than its rivals.
Two out of five buyers looking for a pickup truck in the next two years think of an electric pickup. When choosing a vehicle, people pay attention to its price, performance, design, dimensions, and brand name.
3 out of 5 buyers (nearly 60%) ready to purchase the EV pickup would prefer the Ford F-150 (model and brand indicators not involved).
The Hummer EV is the second (41%), the Rivian R1T is the third (39%). The futuristic Tesla Cybertruck is just the fourth (19%).
With brand and model indicators involved, the F-150 leads again (45%), followed by the Cybertruck (32%), the Hummer EV (28%), and the Rivian R1T (25%).
Apparently, Ford’s image of the producer of good pickups plays a role.
