During the Stellantis EV Day 2021, Dodge announced it would launch a new muscle car in 2024.
This vehicle will be all-electric and all-wheel-drive. Dodge made emphasis on a “natural evolution” of performance the new Dodge EV represents and added the brand wouldn’t be a seller of electric cars but would sell “American eMuscle.”
Dodge’s teaser image shows a shadowy car with a square, wide, flat stance, large wheels, and illuminated front grille.
As for the new car’s underpinnings, it will sit on a new dedicated electric platform developed by Stellantis – STLA Frame. This architecture allows an electric driving range of 500 miles.
It is not exactly clear now which model or models will be the rival(s) to the new Dodge electric muscle car. A pure electric Chevrolet Camaro is the first to come to mind.
