The next-generation Toyota Tundra is coming soon. Toyota U.S. dealers expect the pickup will be the best in class.
The vehicle has not even arrived yet, but retailers in the USA do believe in its future success. This is despite the fact that sales of the current Toyota Tundra declined by 2 percent in 2020, and were not too good: the truck finished near the bottom of US sales.
The 2021 Toyota Tundra ($33,675-53,050) wasn’t popular among Americans. It is aging, and trails rivals in most areas, including interior quality, fuel efficiency, towing and hauling capacity.
The new-gen Tundra will probably change the situation, if only Toyota significantly modernizes the model.
Last year, the three U.S. bestsellers were all full-size pickup trucks, so the next Tundra will have the potential on the market.
Robby Findlay, Toyota National Dealer Advisory Council Chairman, has said it his latest interview that the new Toyota Tundra is the most exciting thing they’ve had in the last 5 plus years, which will be a “world-beater”.
The Toyota Tundra should premiere in December 2021 as a 2022 model. It will ride on the TNGA-F platform and get power out of a twin-turbo V6 engine.
