Dark Horse Turned Into Nite Pony: Ford Mustang Gets a New Edition

The Ford Mustang Nite Pony is coming. This new black accent package should become available this fall.

The Dearborn-based company has finally decided on a name for the Ford Mustang’s new appearance package that has been so much speculated about.

Ford chose a Nite Pony name out of 29 submissions it received. Nite Pony beat out other “contest finalists” – Shadow Stallion, Alastor, and Shadowmare.

Ford filed a trademark for “Dark Horse” around the world and gave reason to think that was the new name for its new package. Now it’s clear that those who thought so are wrong, and with the“Dark Horse” name Ford just misled us.

The Blue Oval provides the Nite Pony Package for the 2022 Mustang coupe and as the upgrade on the 2023 Mustang Mach-E Premium and GT Performance Edition. In contrast with the Nite Pony Mustangs, Ford also offers an Ice White package.

Nite Pony Appearance

The 2023 Mach-E Nite Pony packages include black bumpers and lower cladding, badges, mirror caps, and 19- or  20-inch rims with pony graphics on black wheel caps.

The regular Mustang Nite Pony comes with a black roof, grille, decklid spoiler, and 19-inch black aluminum wheels.

The pricing for the Nite Pony Mustangs will follow soon.
