COVID-19 Blocks Start of Sales of New Audi A3 in Australia

COVID-19 Blocks Start of Sales of New Audi A3 in Australia

Due to the pandemic, the latest fourth-generation Audi A3 will enter the Australian market with a delay of 6-12 months.

Audi’s Australian office told CarAdvice that the new-generation A3 hatchback and sedan won’t go on sale in the Land Down Under until the second half of 2021: about 12 months after the hatchback’s initial timeline, and six months later for the sedan.

Audi Australia admits the COVID-19 is the reason of delay and says that sales will begin “slightly later than expected.”

The company unveiled the next generation of its most popular model in the spring of 2020.

Audi has completely updated all models of the A3 family, including the performance S3. The hotter RS3 is expected next year.
