Online Сonfigurator for 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 Goes Live on March 3

Customers will be able to configure their desired 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 presumably starting from March 3, 2022. The pickup along with its sibling 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 will go into production at the facilities of General Motors in late February-mid March.

The online configurator for the refreshed 2022 Chevy Silverado 1500 is expected to open less than in a month – on March 3. It should have happened at the beginning of January but was postponed. The manufacturer also delayed the launch into mass production for a couple of weeks to have more time to properly set up the assembly.

Thus, according to GM Authority, General Motors will begin to produce the new Silverado and GMC Sierra on February 21st instead of initially planned February 7th at the Silao Assembly Plant in Mexico, and on March 14th instead of March 6th at the Fort Wayne Assembly Plant in Indiana.

Moreover, the 2022 Silverado 1500 production will begin at the facility in Oshawa, Canada this spring.

The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and 2022 GMC Sierra 1500 debuted one by one in the fall of 2021. They are powered by gasoline engines: a 2.7-liter I4 L3B, a 6.2-liter V8 L87, and a 5.3-liter V8 L84. A diesel option is also in the engine lineup, namely the 3.0L I6 LM2 Turbo Diesel.

The 2022 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 price range (MSRP) is $31,500 – $65,100, and it is $32,300 – $78,700 for the 2022 GMC Sierra 1500.
