Chevrolet unveiled the 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD yesterday, on December 4, 2018. Its official debut is due in February 2019. When the pickup truck arrives, it’ll be the most capable and advanced Silverado HD ever.
Within just 18 months, Chevrolet presented three all-new Silverados for various preferencies. This latest truck with enhanced heavy-duty features and customer-focused details differs more from light-duty models than ever before.
It has got innovative towing technologies, which increase towing and payload capabilities, as well as some new functions, such as the integrated Bedstep for easier access to the bed.
The 2020 Silverado HD shares only the roof with the Silverado 1500. All the rest exterior elements are exclusive to the HD version.
The interior underwent the same architectural changes as the all-new Silverado 1500, including an additional legroom and a higher, more comfortable seating position.
Two new powertrains are available. The first is an all-new direct injection gasoline/petrol engine paired with a six-speed gearbox.
The second is a Duramax V8 diesel turbo motor. It delivers impressive 1,234 Nm of torque through a new ten-speed Allison transmission.
Apart from the Silverado HDs, General Motors launches other new models: Colorado ZR2 Bison, Silverado 1500, Silverado Medium-Duty trucks.
The 2020 Chevrolet Silverado HD goes on sale in mid-2019. The manufacturer will build it at the plant in Flint (Michigan, USA).
