The 2021 Chevy Silverado HD adds some new functions, bumps up its max towing capacity and becomes slightly pricier (plus $100 across the range)
Last month, Chevrolet started production of new pickups. They will be arriving at the dealers through this fall.
For the 2021 model year, the Chevrolet Silverado HD’s maximum towing capacity have been increased by 500 pounds to 36,000 pounds.
The refreshed Silverado HD offers new towing tech: a trailer length indicator, a jackknife alert, and cargo-bed view enhancement.
Several special editions are available: Carhartt Edition with Mosaic Black Metallic exterior paint, black and Carhartt Brown interior leather seats, Carhartt badging (pictured under), blacked-out Midnight Edition, Z71 Sport Edition, and Z71 Chrome Sport Edition.
The 2021 Chevrolet Silverado HD’s manufacturer’s suggested retail price starts at $34,700 for a base 2500 model with regular cab. A one-ton 3500 truck begins at $35,000. The destination charge is $1,595.
