Chevrolet Silverado EV Already Has Over 110,000 Reservations

The pure electric Chevrolet Silverado EV is demonstrating increased demand in the USA, which, in general, is not surprising, because the ”SILVERADO” nameplate is a longtime favorite of Americans.

General Motors said about more than 110,000 reservations for the all-new Chevrolet Silverado EV during its 2021 4th-quarter earnings announcement. The RST First Edition was sold out in just 12 minutes. More than 240 fleet operators officially expressed a desire to buy the truck, CarBuzz reports.

It’s only been a month since the Silverado e-pickup debuted at the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show, but we see how popular it is! Given this demand, and taking into account the high demand for another GM’s product, the GMC Hummer EV (around 59K reservations), the company is going to expand the assembly capacity of its Ultium battery cell and electric vehicle.

The first customer deliveries of the GMC Hummer EV have already begun. The Silverado EV WT model will land in spring 2023, while the fully-loaded RST First Edition will arrive in the fall of the same year.
