Tesla Cybertruck: Best-Ever Product Causing Best-Ever Challenges

Tesla Cybertruck is one of the most desired car products of this decade, but still one of the most inaccessible ones. Elon Musk during a recent call for shareholders complained they dug their own grave with the Cybertruck.

The Tesla Cybertruck has already gathered more than one million reservations, but the irony is in a fact that nobody knows when those trucks will be actually in customers’ hands. Tesla CEO probably knows, but this time, during the Q3 2023 earnings call, he was careful in his statements and tried to cool people’s expectations a little.

No doubt, the Cybertruck is a great product. But its path to customers is long and thorny, given that this is a fully new vehicle developed from the ground up, with many advanced technologies and extremely novel production techniques it needed. Lets see how Elon Musk explains the situation with the Cybertruck:

I think this is potentially our best product ever… [but] it’s going to require immense work to reach value production and be cash flow positive at a price that people can afford.

There are still more questions than answers when it comes to the Cybertruck. Its real pricing, arrival time, production volumes, and market acceptance remain equivocal. The start of deliveries is announced for November, plus Tesla CEO promises to reach the production of a quarter-million Cybertrucks annually…But not in 2024, and maybe only in 2025.

Meanwhile, the Cybertruck reservation holders have to wait and hope.
