The base Cadillac XT6 becomes cheaper for the 2021 model year thanks to adding a new engine.
The entry-level trim – Luxury – comes with a 2.0-liter inline-four turbo engine making 237 hp.
This mill substitutes the previously standard V6. It is mated to a nine-speed automatic transmission and standard front-wheel drive (all-wheel drive is optional at $2000).
As a result, the starting price significantly drops to $48,990.
Other trims, the Premium Luxury and Sport, cost from $53,790 and $58,190 for 2021, respectively. They come only with the V6, the Sport trim – with all-wheel drive only.
For comparison: the current 2020 XT6 is priced between $52,695-57,095.
The new XT6 offers Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity, a few new colors, new wheels design. The base vehicle got an 8.0-inch touchscreen, three-zone climate control, heated front seats, a power tailgate.
The 2021 Cadillac XT6 will be on sale in the fall of 2020.
