It is about the 2022 Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing and CT5-V Blackwing sports sedans. They should debut in the spring and go on sale in the summer of 2021.
The company has shown a teaser of a manual shift knob in the form of a 3D-printed medallion.
This knob belongs to a six-speed manual transmission that will be available on both models as standard, while a ten-speed automatic one comes as an option.
Expect to see a 3.0- or 3.6-liter twin-turbo V6 engine under the hood of the Cadillac CT4-V Blackwing. The high-performance Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing will likely have a 6.2-liter 650-hp V8 with a supercharger.
The only other hot luxury sedan with a manual transmission that can be met on the U.S. car market is the 2021 BMW M3.
We’ll know more and more details about the V-series Blackwing beasts closer to the premiere date.
