Buick has given its largest, 3-row, flagship Enclave SUV a number of styling improvements and technology upgrades for the 2022 model year.
When testing the current Buick Enclave, automotive experts note that it had a smooth ride, a powerful 310-hp 3.6-liter V6 engine, many standard infotainment features, and one of the roomiest accommodations in the segment.
At the same time, they said the SUV had few standard active safety features and too many low-quality materials in the cabin for a vehicle with such a high base price.
The company has tried to fix the flaws in the Enclave for the next model year to make it more competitive.
Buick tweaks the center console adding a push-button shifter and improves the Avenir trim level. Now the cabin has new quilted leather upholstery, heated and ventilated massaging front seats, better wood trim. Besides, the Avenir model gets unique wheels, body-colored lower trim panels, a special grille insert.
Such driver-assist features as AEB with pedestrian detection, Lane Keep Assist, blind-spot monitoring, automatic high-beam headlamps were optional before, but they are standard now.
The automaker also adds standard rear parking sensors and rear cross-traffic alert. Standard Apple CarPlay and Android Auto become wireless.
Exterior changes include revisions of bumpers, head- and tail lights and wheel designs.
