The Geneva International Motor Show 2019 is around the corner. It opens on March 7 and lasts 10 days. Major car manufacturers have announced their line-ups for the event in the main, including BMW, which will make focus on electrified cars for the European market.
This-year auto show in Switzerland (89th one) will host many bright premieres. Following the electrification trend, BMW is going to surprise the public with its hybrids. What are they?
The BMW 7 Series (pictured above), albeit revealed in January, will make its official debut in Geneva. Plug-in hybrid versions of the facelift model will be showcased: 745e, 745Le, 745Le xDrive. They use the same tech but differ by length and transmission choices.
BMW’s TwinPower Turbo and the latest eDrive technologies are applied.
The BMW 330e hybrid modification with the electric driving range increased to 37 miles (60km) comes too.
One more debut will be the BMW X5 xDrive45e sharing its powertrain with the 745e. It is about a 3.0-liter inline-six petrol engine and an electric motor with total output of 394hp. The electric range is 50 miles (80.5km), acceleration 0-62 mph takes 5.6 seconds.
An all-new BMW Individual M850i xDrive Coupe Night Sky sports car will be on display in Geneva as well standing out among all these hybrids.
