Speculations of BMW enthusiasts about possible arrival of a BMW 9 Series range-topping model seem not to get embodied. The company’s head of R&D Klaus Fröhlich has recently confirmed that they are not going to launch such a car.
People always dream of something they want to have but can’t. Thus, some BMW supporters believed that a true successor to the BMW M1 could appear or the BMW 9 Series luxury coupe to top the brand’s lineup taking the place upper the 7 and 8 Series.
Mr. Klaus Fröhlich destroyed those dreams. In his interview to Autocar he expressed doubt as for expediency of the 9 Series. The segment it may join has enough interesting offers, and BMW’s X7 (pictured above), 7 Series and 8 Series are among them.
It’s hard not to agree, given the current market situation. But everything changes over time…Not demanded today, the BMW 9 Series will be in trend, perhaps, in several years.
Those who prefer BMW, may feel disappointed, hearing that they won’t see a better, larger and more upscale model from their favorite carmaker.
At the same time, we have a good alternative in the face of the BMW 8 Series or X7, which are also great vehicles.
