BMW Begins Production of Its Most Powerful Model

It is about the BMW XM Label Red exclusive version that makes 738 horsepower.

This month, the most powerful model of the brand – 2024 BMW XM Label Red – debuts at the Auto Shanghai 2023 (April 18-27) and goes into production at BMW Group Plant Spartanburg in South Carolina.

Why does this model deserve attention, and why is it unique?

The XM Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) itself is BMW’s first-ever electrified high-performance car. Its Label Red modification not only has a special appearance with a black and red motif in the exterior and interior, but it is 94 hp more powerful than the standard model and more innovative, no matter how you look at it.

The car’s powertrain is conceptually similar to that of the new BMW M Hybrid V8 endurance racing car, which will compete in racing events throughout 2023.

Exterior

features an extroverted design with exclusive details:

Plus the car features model-specific chassis tuning, an M xDrive rear-biased all-wheel-drive system, an M Sport differential, and integrated transverse dynamics management.

The icing on the cake is the model’s

M HYBRID Drivetrain System and Its Parts:

  • a high-revving 4.4-liter V8 combustion engine with M TwinPower Turbo tech that produces 577 hp at 5,600 rpm and 553 lb-ft (74 lb-ft over the standard XM) at 1,800-5,400 rpm;
  • a 194-hp/206-lb-ft electric motor with instantaneous power delivery and an innovative pre-gearing stage for torque increase;
  • a high-voltage lithium-ion battery that has a net energy content of 19.2 kWh;
  • Combined Charging Unit that enables AC charging at up to 7.4 kW.

And here are some

  • a 0-60 mph sprint takes 3.7 seconds;
