BMW has announced prices of the flagship X7 for the United States. The largest Bavarian brand’s crossover will cost from $73,900 for American customers.
The company initially offers the BMW X7 in the USA in two gasoline versions – xDrive40i and xDrive50i. The first costs from $73,900, the second – from $92,600.
The BMW X7xDrive40i has a 335-hp six-cylinder engine and a torque of 330 lbft (450 Nm). Its transmission is an eight-speed automatic Steptronic.
The more powerful BMW X7 xDrive50i modification has got an eight-cylinder motor with 456 hp of output and a maximum torque of 479 lbft (650 Nm).
We remind that BMW developed the X7 with the focus on the US car market, where large seven-seaters are very popular, although the model is positioned as global and will be sold worldwide.
Like the smaller X3 and X5, the carmaker produces the new flagship at a car factory in Spartanburg (South Carolina).
The main rivals of the BMW X7 in the United States will be the Cadillac Escalade and Lincoln Navigator, as well as new generations of the Mercedes-Benz GLS and, possibly, the Land Rover Range Rover.
