The Audi A6 has received its first-ever plug-in hybrid full-size station wagon version.
It is about the Audi A6 Avant 55 TFSIe quattro just launched through the European dealership network.
The A6 Sedan with the same power system entered the market in 2019. Now it’s time for the Avant.
It is equipped with a 2.0 TFSI engine, an electric motor, quattro drive, a 14.1-kWh lithium-ion battery, a seven-speed S tronic transmission.
The total system output is 270 kW (367 metric horsepower) and 500 Nm (369 lb-ft) of torque at a speed of 1,250 rpm.
The electric driving range is up to 51 km (31.7 mi) in the WLTP cycle. 0-100 km/h (0-62 mph) acceleration takes 5.7 sec.
The top speed is 250 km/h (155 mph) in the electric-only mode, and up to 135 km/h (84 mph) in the plug-in hybrid one.
Combined fuel consumption is 2.1–1.9 l/100 km (112–124 mpg); combined electric power consumption is 18.1–17.6 kWh/100 km.
Besides, the Audi A6 Avant 55 TFSIe quattro has a comprehensive range of standard equipment, including the S line exterior package, a virtual cockpit, Matrix LED headlights, a sports suspension and sports seats.
The car offers three drive modes: ‘EV’, ‘Hybrid’ and ‘Hold’ to keep electrical energy available at any given time.
The price in Germany starts from 71,940 EUR. In this country, the model is eligible for a 50 percent company car tax reduction.
