Audi A4 Turned A Quarter Century
Audi celebrates a great anniversary – 25 years of production of its most popular Audi A4 model. Five generations, customer love has been confirmed by 7.5 million sales.
25 years ago, the first Audi A4 rolled off the assembly line in Ingolstadt. Since then, the company has released more than 7.5 million units. The fifth-generation A4 is on the market, and the demand for the car continues unabated.
The A4 is Audi’s most popular model in the world today. Approximately every fifth currently delivered Audi car comes from this series.
The Audi A4 was launched in 1994 as the successor to the Audi 80 series. Thanks to its elegance, sportiness and comfort, it quickly impressed customers all over the world. The model became the best-seller of the brand in the very first full year of its production. Then more than 272,000 A4s left the assembly line.
Since the launch of the fourth generation in 2007, the model has been manufactured at two factories in Germany – Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm, as well as in China and India.
