All-wheel Drive Tesla Model 3 Will Compete With The BMW M3

The head of Tesla Elon Musk published the characteristics and prices of the Model 3 with all-wheel drive not so long ago. In total, the car has four versions: two rear-wheel drive – standard and with increased range (Long Range), as well as two all-wheel drive – Long Range AWD and Performance.

In the brand’s homeland (USA) an initial price of $35,000 was claimed. Long Range costs $44,000 and Long Range AWD – $54,000.

The most powerful Performance top modification is priced at $79,000, which, according to Musk, is 15% more dynamic and better controlled than the BMW M3 of almost the same cost, due to the low center of gravity.

This version received an expanded list of options, including a unique black and white interior trim, has 250 hp of output (against the Long Range version’s 225 hp).

The customer will have to pay extra $5,000 for the AWD system.The driving range is 354 km for the standard model and 500 km for the rest. The base Model 3 accelerates to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.6 seconds, its top speed is 210 km/h.

Upper rear-wheel drive and lower four-wheel drive versions gain a top speed of 225 km/h, accelerating to 100 km/h in 5.1 and 4.5 seconds respectively.


And, finally, the most performance modification of the model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.5 seconds, with 250 km/h of the claimed top speed.
