The new 2020 Peugeot 2008 in petrol, diesel and all-electric versions has reached the dealer showrooms in France. It is available from January, 5. The automaker has started the launch program in the media.
The previous model was sold in quantity of almost 1,200,000 cars. The new-gen vehicle is offered in three power variants from the first: petrol (gasoline), diesel, electric. It adopts the latest Peugeot’s i-Cockpit 3D and driver assistance systems.
Four trim levels are on offer: Active, Allure, GT Line and GT.
The petrol engines are 3-cylinder 1.2-liter PureTech with 100, 130 and 155 horsepower.
The diesel options are 1.5-liter 4-cylinder 100-hp and 130-hp BlueHDi.
All motors are adherence to the Euro 6d standard.
This is the first all-electric SUV from Peugeot. It is identifiable by such details as a sparkling green and blue dichroic Lion, a specific “e” monogram, an elegant body-colored grille with horizontal lamp pods, exclusive Alcantara “Greval Grey” seat upholstery, a EV-specific display with the 3D handset.
The 136-hp (100 kW) engine delivers 260 Nm (192 lb-ft) of torque. The 50-kWh battery provides a range of up to 310 km (193 mi) according to WLTP standard. This battery is guaranteed for 8 years or 160,000 km for 70% of its charging capacity. It can be charged to 80% in 30 minutes.
In France, where customers can already take away their cars, the prices start from €21,500 (petrol), €23,100 (diesel), €37,100 (electric).
In the UK, the 2020 Peugeot 2008 costs from £20,150, £21,750 and £31,650, respectively.
The prices in Germany are from €21,500 for a petrol version, €24,200 for a diesel car and €35,250 for the e-2008.
