The 2023 Nissan Z has officially debuted in America. Sales of sport-car in the United States will begin in early 2023.
The official presentation of the new-generation Nissan Z took place at historical Brooklyn’s Duggal Greenhouse in New York City.
The long-awaited sports car should become an affordable alternative to the Nissan GT-R and compete primarily with the Toyota Supra.
Generally speaking, the Americans were looking forward to the new Nissan Z, like its predecessor, the Nissan 370Z, had and still has an army of fans.
Ashwani Gupta, chief operating officer of Nissan, says that the Z has always been an affordable sports car. However, information on the price of the 2023 Nissan Z is currently unavailable.
Nissan will offer three versions for the new car. The start of sales is slated for early 2023, according to Gupta.
All 2023 Nissan Z models come with a 3.0-liter 400-hp twin-turbo V6 engine with 475 Nm (350 lb-ft) of torque. The Chevy Corvette Stingray engine, by comparison, develops up to 495 hp and 637 Nm (470 lb-ft).
The Nissan Z buyers will be able to choose between a 6-speed manual gearbox and a new 9-speed automatic transmission.
Inside, Nissan highlights a 12.3-inch display, leather sports seats, and a premium Bose audio system.
Note that unlike the previous six generations, for which Nissan also offered digital designations, the newcomer will sell in the United States with only one letter Z – simply “Nissan Z”.
